Been working on a handful of new paintings, both personal work and commissions for others. Stay tuned to the gallery for new examples as we’ll be updating regularly over the next several weeks.

If you’re interested in having a new painting of your choosing, I’m currently accepting commissions on a variety of subjects. At the moment, I’m primarily focused on action-portraiture (people working in their environment) and landscapes, but I’m open to whatever you’re looking for. Take a look at some of my work in the painting gallery and see for yourself. If you have questions, feel free to email dave@daveklemencic.com for further details, quotes and to set up an appointment to look at some samples firsthand.

Thanks!

This Friday, April 3 Grace Yoga will be hosting “Easy Alliances”, an exhibition of art created by Dave Decker and myself. The opening runs from 7-10, with live music by LarJar featuring Dave Decker will begin at 8 p.m. Dave’s work is incredible, and we’ve forged a friendship over the last ten years that’s included innumerable musical performance and art exhibition.
Grace Yoga is located at 209 N. Foushee Street between Grace and Broad, and is a part of the First Friday art walk. Deirdre Nivala has been instrumental in putting the show together, and has curated shows at Grace Yoga, Artemis Gallery and a number of other Richmond art spaces. Please try to make it out and check out a great cultural event in this up-and-coming location.

On Friday, January 23, 2009 I set up to create live drawing projections at the Canal Club for the Orchard Lounge show. Orchard Lounge is a Chicago-based DJ collective, and the show proved to be a lot of fun for a crowd of over 600. I’ve included all the images that I drew over the course of the 3 1/2 hour set in the live drawing section of the site. Have a look!
